CV and Class Description
Both are educated at The National College of Ballet and Dance in Norway 1996 with a bachelor in jazz. They have further class and workshop studies in Los Angeles and New York. As members of the jazzdance company Oslo Danse Ensemble since 1997, they have worked with internationally renowned choreographers such as Mia Michaels, Alex Magno, Christopher Huggins, Chet Walker and Wes Veldink. They have also worked with contemporary/moderen choreographers such as Jo Stromgren, Dans Design and Body Tech. In addition they have done ensemble roles in various musical productions like West Side Story, A Chorus Line, Fame and Sophies World.
The classes are taught under the Team Teach principle, a concept where the teachers mix their styles to a comprehensive and continous class. Subjazz emphasizes on a good, thorough warm-up, technical exercises across the floor and physically challenging dance combinations in styles varied from contemporary jazz to lyrical, electrical and traditional jazz. Subjazz focus on inspiring students to reach for their ultimate possibilities and are known for their complete dedication to both student and the subject of dance. Their classes are an appreciation of the great energy, passion, love and joy that exists and comes to life through the art of dance. They are assistant professors in jazzdance at Oslo National Academy of the arts, dance department and are a member of the faculty at Ballet Acadmy in Stockholm. Have been giving masterclasses around europe since 2001.
As choreographers they have been commisioned to do work for So you think you can dance Scandinavia. So you think you can dance Norway, Oslo Danse Ensemble and have been producing and choreographing full length productions that has been on a national tour in Norway spring 2011. Besides this they have had work shown at various venues around Norway and Sweden.
Stylize und ZTTS sind ein starkes Team
Stylize arbeitet auf höchstem Niveau interdisziplinär mit Abgängern der ZTTS (Daniel Borak und Lavdrim Dzemailij unter der künstlerischen Leitung von Sandro Minasi (Dozent für HipHop an der ZTTS). Sie bringen zusammen, was sich sonst kaum begegnet. Scheinbar den Gesetzen der Schwerkraft trotzend vereinen sie verschiedene Hiphop‐Styles und verbinden diese mit weiteren Tanzarten wie Modern‐Jazz und Tap stilvoll choreographiert, unterhaltsam inszeniert. Grenzüberschreitendes Entertainment, das jede Bühne zum Beben bringt und das Publikum entführt in die Welt getanzter Geschichten geschrieben mit geschmeidigen Bewegungen, betrieben von der Essenz des Rhythmus. Originell, mit unersättlicher Experimentiergier, stets getrieben vom Anspruch, sich ständig weiterzuentwickeln. Für das Publikum. Für die Kunst. Aus Überzeugung, dass nichts die Ästhetik einer perfekten Bewegung übertrifft.
